Afterthoughts |
|
Elemental forces and time acting upon my strengths and weaknesses are exposed in my clay forms. These sculptures, which resemble geologic formations, are a material manifestation of my interior, a solid, dependable core; and my exterior, flexible, and buffeted by the elements. Like igneous and sedimentary rock, the effect of water, temperature and time transforms these materials. Sometimes the erosion reveals beauty, other times exposing raw nerve. |
